Indications/Uses
Protection against infection caused by HAV in childn 12 mth to 15 yr.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IM 0.5 mL for each inj. Vaccination schedule includes a primary vaccination dose. Administer booster 6-36 mth later.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to HAV inactivated vaccine or neomycin. Disease w/ high temp.
Special Precautions
Do not administer IV or into the buttock. Weakened immune system due to corticosteroids, cytotoxic drugs, RT or other treatments; HIV infection or other immunocompromising diseases. Haemophilia or are prone to bruises or bleeding. Fainting may occur. Liver disease. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Decreased appetite; irritability, insomnia; headache; belly pain, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting; muscle & joint pain; local inj site reactions eg, pain, redness, swelling or induration; fever, fatigue.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant immunosuppressive treatment may diminish immunological response.
